ABSTRACT
Critical legal studies (or CLS) is an approach to law that was developed by a relatively small group of mostly American thinkers from the 1970s onwards. As the name implies, proponents of critical legal studies (often calls “crits” or “CLSers” for short) are critical of all traditional theories of law and jurisprudence.
