ABSTRACT
This is the unanimously accepted text among more recent editors and commentators. As far as I can see there has been a rare solidarity attached to ad auras for the last 90 years or so. Before that time the picture is a little more diversified. In the first quarter of 20th century at least Hirtzel (1900), Jahn (1912) and Goelzer (1925) preferred ad auris.
