ABSTRACT

Many l o g i c a l analyses o f quest ions have been proposed i n recent years. One aspect common t o a l l a f them i s t h a t they t r y t o formal i z e t he r e l a t i o n t h a t e x i s t s between a ques t i on and a p o s s i b l e o r t r ue answer t o i t . Analyses have however d i ve rged on what they took as an answer. Dec is ions on what c o ~ l n t s as an answer t o a ques t i on lead t o d i f f e r e n t analyses. Th is can be seen by comparing, f o r example, H i n t i k k a (1974, 1976), Ka r t t c~nen (1977a,b), and Hausser and Z a e f f e r e r (1976).
