ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces the case of British participation in the 2003 invasion of Iraq. It highlights the legitimacy deficit that still surrounds the Blair government’s decision to take Britain into the ‘coalition of the willing’, and notes how surprising this looks from an FPA perspective. Finally, this chapter sets out the structure for the remainder of the book.
