ABSTRACT
Let’s turn our attention to ways that multimedia can enhance informational writing instruction, starting with an exploration of how students can create video topic trailers about their informational writing topics. We’ll begin by considering what it means to create video topic trailers and then consider how doing so can enhance students’ experiences with informational writing. Next, we’ll look at an example of a lesson on this argument writing strategy; finally, we’ll conclude by considering five key recommendations to keep in mind when helping your students create their own video topic trailers.
