ABSTRACT

The first method for analyzing a case centers on examining a dilemma through the lens of a single content area such as organizational behavior, student development, or diversity and then repeating the process for other content areas. In order to construct the analysis through issues, there must be multiple issues identified within the case. To help identify the main issues in case, focus on pinpointing problems that need to be addressed and/or aspects in the case that seem to need a change. Once the main issues are identified, it is important to determine the "how" and "why" behind each issue to better understand that issue. In other words, determine how the issue may be present within the case and why the issue is a problem for the college or university. When John Brown decides to invest in the support opportunities for veterans, he finds that Student Veterans Center consists of an empty room with an American flag and some couches.
