ABSTRACT
Ethics is generally defined as the branch of philosophy that focuses on the establishment of right and wrong (Emanuel et al., 2008). The terms research ethics and research integrity are often used interchangeably. This chapter will cover human research ethics matters such as research ethics review, risk, privacy, and consent, rather than research integrity matters such as authorship, publication ethics, conflicts of interest, and issues related to research student supervision.
