ABSTRACT

Part of being an outstanding geography teacher is providing students with the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to be able to achieve their own goals and targets. For many students their long-term goal will be to achieve aspirational examination results and allowing them to go on to further their education or begin a career. One trait many outstanding teachers share is total clarity on their goal. They are clear about what they want to achieve and know which steps they need to follow in order to achieve it. The author assumes that, for most teachers, the primary aim is to support students to help them realise their potential and achieve aspirational targets. Find fault and fix test is based on an idea by Geoff Petty. It is intended to be a quick and easy process to diagnose a problem and fix it.
