ABSTRACT
Chapters 5, 6, and 7 will explore Urbanus magnus under three key themes: the medieval household, body, and diet. However, Urbanus magnus is so broad in scope that one cannot discuss all of its themes adequately. The intention of this chapter is to highlight some of the other themes and motifs which are included in Urbanus magnus but lie beyond the scope of the other chapters in this study.
