ABSTRACT
In many ways, the Taiwanese who worry about Taiwan’s future as a liberal democracy enjoying de facto sovereign status have the advantage of knowing not only the kind of tried and tested tactics that the CCP will likely use to undermine Taiwan but also what it would be like for Taiwan to become a special administrative region (SAR) of China.
