ABSTRACT

This chapter examines the importance of taking care of learner professional instrument, in order to enhance learner creative thinking and nurture the building of multimodal learning environments in music education. Every music pedagogue has to find their own pathways to nourish the core of their pedagogical professional practice. There are countless ways to be a music pedagogue. Every music session can become a shared adventure in the world of arts-based practice. Music is in the heart of the adventures; the shared experiences enable strong connections between people and form a community where everyone – even the youngest baby – is encountered as a unique musician and artist. Funniness is deeper than language; it is like a driver for communication. It is an improvisation, involving letting go of those preconceived ideas, responding authentically in the present moment, honouring that as important.
