ABSTRACT
The existence of clandestine and hidden cemeteries, as well as the anxiety suffered by many Guatemalans as a result of not knowing what happened to their relatives, remains an open wound in the country. . . . To heal these particular wounds requires the exhumation of secret graves, as well as the definitive identification of the whereabouts of the disappeared.
