ABSTRACT

This chapter provides a brief overview of the sustainability performance of the multinational enterprises within a sample. It presents a high-level overview of the results, illustrating the percentage of organisations classified within different categories of performance for their sustainability practices. This analysis follows the seven steps of the corporate sustainability assessment. The chapter provides a gauge as to the overall performance of the foreign multinationals within the sample, before examining the comparative performance of the service and manufacturing sectors. This provides a succinct contribution to existing knowledge of the sustainability practices of multinationals, which has received relatively little attention in the extant literature. The analysis presented establishes a significant percentage of the authors' sample organisations are adopting sustainability standards that go beyond the regulatory requirements of the Thailand government.
