ABSTRACT

The exercises in this chapter will assist you in developing the creative thinking skills necessary to work toward positive or probable identifi cation of complete and incomplete human remains. This includes describing the similarities and differences between antemortem and postmortem radiographs of osteological structures (e.g., frontal sinus) used for this purpose. Also, you will compare photographs of people and skulls to experience the process for excluding a person or obtaining a probable identifi cation.
