Sincerityinwhatwesaycannotreallybedefmedasperfect truthfulness,sinceweourselvesoftendonotknowwhattruth is,orlackthewordstoexpressit,orknowthattheperson towhomwearespeakingcanunderstandonlysomething lessthantruth;sincerityinhumanbeingsastheyatpresent arecanbelittlemorethanagenuinedesiretocommunicate,in contrastwithadesiretodeceive.Thisdesiretocommunicateis whatpeopleoftencallgoodfaithorgoodwill;itisoftennot satisfied.
