ABSTRACT

Derrida's philosophy ranks as a better theory of tradition than either Kuhn's or Bloom's. His original work can provide answers to questions left unanswered in the other theories. For example, Derrida can explain the change of perspective by a successor in logical, determinate terms whereas Kuhn used vague wholistic terms and Bloom used emotive, psychoanalytical terms. See the end of Chapter 1 for other good features of Derrida' s theory (called grammatology).
