ABSTRACT

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a powerful tool to help us do this. This book will help and encourage you to get involved – to take the first steps on a long journey. It will take you through the theory and practice of CSR – why it’s a good idea, how organisations can implement it and how it’ll help them achieve their other goals too. We’ve also included a chapter on personal social responsibility – or how you can apply the principles of CSR in your personal life. We recognise that any new idea needs thorough testing, so we’ve summarised the common arguments against CSR in Chapter 7.
