ABSTRACT
Why should one revisit Ramchandra Gandhi’s book I am Thou, published first in 1984, reprinted in 2011. It is important to respond now in 2012 for at least two reasons — one, for its capacity to easily deal with the religious imagination in Indian thought and two, for the challenge this book poses to traditional academic writing in philosophy.
