This review is conventionally attributed to Jeffrey by default, but though it follows the editor’s penchant for summary, it has a few sentences that sound strongly like the work of William Hazlitt (e.g., the last full sentence on p. 482), and the opinions expressed in this review correspond almost exactly to the opinion of Rimini that Hazlitt expressed elsewhere.
