ABSTRACT

Godwin, Political Justice (1793); Critical Review, 2nd Series, VII (April 1793), 361–372. As can be seen from this article, the reviewer does little more than quote Godwin’s treatise. The same is a little less true of two other articles on Political Justice (not reproduced here): Critical Review, 2nd Series, VIII (July 1793), 290–296, and IX (Oct. 1793), 149–154. But, in general, the Critical Review merely presents Godwin’s ideas, whether in quotation or paraphrase, and then agrees or disagrees without extended analysis.
