ABSTRACT
Byron, Monody on the Death of Sheridan (1817) and poems on Sheridan by Thomas Moore, Charles Phillips, and Thomas Gent; Theatrical Inquisitor, XI (Nov. 1817), 362-367; (Dec. 1817), 445-450. The Lines attributed to Moore were by him. This reviewer, like some others, devotes a disproportionate amount of space to attacking Phillips’ unfortunate verses.
