ABSTRACT

[Byron] Age of Bronze (1823); Monthly Magazine, LV (May 1823), 322–325. William Thomas Fitzgerald (P1759–1829), with whose versification the critic compares Byron’s (p. 324), was a minor poetaster who owes his lasting notice to remarks on him by Byron (in English Bards and in his letters) and to a parody of his poetry in Rejected Addresses (for which see the reviews of Byron’s poem included with Genuine Rejected Addresses).
