Byron, Don Juan, I-II (1819); Miniature Magazine, III (Oct. 1819), 236–239. The poetic quotations on page 236 and 237 are both from Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. The value of this brief article lies in its account of the history of the Don Juan legend, as it was known to a literate contemporary of Byron.
