Byron, Two Foscari and Cain (1821); Lady’s Magazine, 2nd Series, III (March 1822), 150–153. The tone of the review seems covertly favorable to Byron in his struggle against the censors and censurers of Cain. Perhaps the unidentified reviewer was Thomas Noon Talfourd, who reviewed three other publications by Byron in the Lady’s Magazine.
