ABSTRACT

The LITERARY AND STATISTICAL MAGAZINE FOR SCOTLAND was a quarterly magazine of Edinburgh that published four volumes under that title (1817–1820) and then continued for three volumes under the title Scottish Episcopal Review and Magazine (1820–1822). The second title suggests that the magazine may have been from the beginning the work of episcopal clergymen in Scotland (where that church was not the Establishment). Reviews of Wordsworth and Byron are reprinted in The Romantics Reviewed.
