ABSTRACT

Coleridge, Remorse (1813); review by Francis Hodgson, Monthly Review, 2nd Series, LXXI (May 1813), 82–93. Hodgson, Byron’s Cambridge crony, seems to have had some editorial duties with the Monthly about this date. Inasmuch as Byron, a member of the Drury Lane Theatre committee, had helped get Remorse produced, we may suspect that Hodgson gives the play special attention partly on Byron’s account.
