With this volume of the Monthly Review ends Benjamin Christie Nangle’s valuable index of contributors, and we are reduced to stray hints and calculated guesses about the identity of the anonymous reviewers. The reviewer of Wordsworth’s 1815 edition certainly lacks the tact and respect that Merivale showed for the author of The Excursion.
