ABSTRACT
The MONTHLY VISITOR and Entertaining Pocket Companion was published in London under that name from 1797 to 1800 and, under a different subtitle, till 1804. Pocket magazines were, by their nature, basically a medium of entertainment more than of information or serious criticism. The Monthly Visitor provides us with but one review.
