ABSTRACT

Wordsworth, River Duddon (1820); European Magazine, LXXVII (June 1820), 523-525. This review, the last of Wordsworth to appear in the European Magazine, ends by taking “leave of Mr. Wordsworth.” Had a policy decision been made not to review anything the poet might henceforth publish? Or did the Ecclesiastical Sketches and Memorials of a Tour (both 1822) simply seem unworthy of review?
