ABSTRACT

FREEMASON’S MAGAZINE, or General and Complete Library was a London monthly that published eleven volumes, 1793–1798. The single review requiring inclusion in The Romantics Reviewed is that of the second edition of Coleridge’s Poems (1797), which also contained poems by Charles Lamb and Charles Lloyd. Inasmuch as this review followed immediately after a review of Lloyd’s novel Edmund Oliver (1798), I suspect that Lloyd was the person whose Masonic connections initiated both reviews.
