Wordsworth, The Waggoner (1819); review by ?George Croly, Literary Gazette, June 12, 1819, pp. 369–371. The re viewer – whom I take to be Croly – has great merriment over the appearance of another ass in Wordsworth’s poetry. He attempts to show his literary knowledge and grammatical superiority to Wordsworth.
