ABSTRACT

Wordsworth, Yarrow Revisited (1835); review by ?W.J. Fox, Monthly Repository, 2nd Series, IX (1835), 430–434. The “two kings of Brentford” (p. 431) appear in The Rehearsal (1672), the Duke of Buckingham’s burlesque of heroic tragedy. Though Mineka attributes the review doubtfully to Fox, the year 1835 saw the fading of Fox’s interest in the Repository and the rise of Horne’s and Mary Gillies’ contributions.
