Lamb, John Woodvil (1802); British Critic, XIX (June 1802), 646–647. The critic is correct in stating that the fragments attributed to Burton were, in fact, imitations of Burton by Lamb. The reviewer probably, therefore, either knew Burton very well or Charles Lamb at least slightly.
