ABSTRACT

Wordsworth, Ecclesiastical Sketches (1822) and Memorials of a Tour (1822); British Critic, 2nd Series, XVIII (Nov. 1822), 522–531. This review seems to be by a different critic from the one who wrote those of Wordsworth from 1815 through 1821 — unless that critic has suddenly taken a great interest in Italian literature. (Dante’s sonnet to Guido Cavalcante, quoted on p. 526, was translated by Shelley in the Alastor volume.)
