ABSTRACT

Summary

The College of Architecture at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln has three Buildings: Architecture Hall East, Architecture Hall West, and the Link, with the design of each having taken place at different times. Participants in the study had favorable responses to the designs, especially about the aesthetic appeal of the exterior and the Link. They rated the exterior of Architecture Hall East as more appealing than the exterior of Architecture Hall West. The Link had many functions, and participants had few negative comments about it. The interior of Architecture Hall provoked the most controversy. Participants loved some spaces in it, such as the library, and detested others, such as the computer lab. Thus, the POE points to many good aspects of the design and exterior and some mixed evaluations of the interior spaces in Architecture Hall.
