ABSTRACT
Nonverbal communication includes so many things in our everyday life. This chapter lays the broad foundation of nonverbal communication, how we differ by gender, and the functional importance of the subject. In the interview, we depend so much on nonverbal skills for success. Functions of nonverbal communication are related to purposes, accuracy, and efficiency. Definitional issues surrounding nonverbal communication are explored. The chapter addresses nonverbal systems and subsystems.
