ABSTRACT

In this chapter we explore how what we might also term ‘existentialism after postmodernism’ can help the psychotherapist to be present from a place of unknowing. The importance of focusing on experience rather than explanation is stressed. Implications are considered for both the training of psychotherapists and how patients/ clients regain their reparative capacities.
