ABSTRACT
This bibliography aims to cover all the published work to the end of 1973, but it does not include the reprinting of poems in later anthologies or of passages or chapters from Empson's books, and includes onlya selection of letters. Reprints of criticism which has not been printed by Empson in book form are noted where known and in the case of these reprints additions by the author are noted and revisions also, where known. The titles of poems which have been altered in revision are entered as they are given in Colleeted Poems 1955 (abbreviated as CP 1955) together with the original titles. Poems uncollected in CP 1955 are denoted by an asterisk.
