ABSTRACT
This chapter marks the beginning of the empirical examination whether there is any relationship between development aid and food security, whether this relationship is positively conditioned on the quality of governance and whether it differs with the type of aid provided. This study explores these questions using cross-country data and quantitative research methods. The main aim of this chapter is to identify global trends and causal links in the relationships between aid, governance and food security.1
