ABSTRACT
Julia Brilling holds a B.A. in African Studies and M.A. in Gender Studies. Her research focuses on gender and race in popular culture. She is the founder and director of Hollaback!BLN and works with women and girls against street harassment. She works as consultant for international organizations in the fields of Gender and Communication.
