ABSTRACT

There is no universal script marking system for television. Every station seems to do things a bit differently. Newsroom computer systems dictate some designations, but most systems allow stations to customize the look and approach to suit themselves. Most newsroom computer systems are integrated with control room equipment to make the appropriate supers virtually automatic—assuming they've been entered into the system correctly. This chapter lays out a reasonably typical system which can be used as a base suitable for alteration.
