ABSTRACT

This chapter provides a detailed comparative analysis of the major mansions that constitute the Rastafari movement. It does this by looking at the defining characteristics and distinguishing features for each major mansion. The major mansions that are examined are the Twelve Tribes of Israel, the Ethiopia Africa Black International Congress, and the Nyahbinghi Mansion. Other mansions and affiliated institutions that are considered in this chapter are the Ethiopian Zion Coptic Church and the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
