ABSTRACT

This chapter serves as a guide for the co-facilitation of groups in college counseling centers. The authors examine the benefits of co-facilitation and variables that contribute to co-leader satisfaction and efficacy. To maximize the likelihood that groups will run successfully, the authors highlight the importance of pre-group and ongoing co-facilitator meetings and provide specific recommendations on how to coordinate facilitation approaches and plan the nuts and bolts of the group. This chapter offers methods to create collaborative, effective, and trusting co-leader working relationships.
