ABSTRACT

In the previous chapters I have addressed cases that concern trafficking to Norway, in this chapter I will discuss cases in which Norway is a source country for WLT. Several decades ago, the smuggling of eggs and chicks from predator birds to abroad was occasionally documented in Norwegian newspapers. Interview data will establish how this problem is addressed. For example, people are stopped at the border with incubators when entering Norway, but people leaving the country are very seldom inspected. This may indicate that bird and egg trafficking from Norway is insufficiently addressed.
