ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the opening-up process by having clients write a series of letters, in an effort to help them to integrate God's deep love for their whole person, including their body and sexuality. Long-term relationships evolve over time, and so does the sexual relationship. Sexual practices are only as intimate and sacred as the rest of their relationship. "Grounding" practices might be what a couple would do at the initial phase of their sacred time together to set an intention and to connect with each other slowly and carefully. Some couples find the Daily Prayer practice so healing that they begin or close each day this way. Spending some time before an erotic encounter focusing on love is part of the process of aligning the heart, mind, and body in same direction. Though there are many ways to make love, it is freedom to be creative and to match experience to desire one has that gives life to lovemaking.
