ABSTRACT

‘A series of continuous accidents’ comprises three very short essays about the relationship between process, presentation and knowledge in performance-making. Each essay takes the form of a personal reflection by Rajni Shah, and draws on her experience of making and touring the shows Mr Quiver, Dinner with America and Glorious between 2004 and 2012. Together, the essays describe a working method that prioritises attentiveness to the creative potential in what otherwise might have been dismissed as accident, irrelevance or mistake.
