ABSTRACT
Pupils who present inappropriate behaviour due to social and emotional difficulties can easily become isolated from their peer group and community. Others may avoid them because they do not like the behaviour and do not wish to be associated with it. Being unable to develop and sustain rewarding peer relationships will impact in a negative way on the pupil’s level of self-esteem.
