ABSTRACT
This chapter brings together selected major works on world Englishes, English as an international language (EIL) and English as a lingua franca (ELF). These works are organized under three major areas, namely ‘General works on world Englishes’, ‘ English as an international language’ and ‘ English as a lingua franca’. This bibliography includes published books, book chapters, journal articles and conference proceedings related to these areas. Constraints of space, however, preclude inclusion of a large number of other published works, such as studies investigating individual varieties of world Englishes, studies describing particular features, studies focusing on techniques/skills for teaching WE/EIL/ELFand studies with narrower scope, among others. In addition, this bibliography excludes conference papers/presentations, unpublished PhD dissertations and Master’s theses.
