ABSTRACT

In the novel Someone is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe, Nan and Ivan Lyons serve up a madcap mystery tale of culinary mayhem and murder. The main characters include an overweight gourmet magazine publisher, an American fast food magnate, and a sexy dessert chef, among a host of colourful others. The central plot has several of the greatest chefs in all of England and the continent being killed, one by one, and deliberately in a way reminiscent of their respective gastronomic specialties. God calls and equips priest academics to a life of devoted prayer and practice, which includes thinking, writing, and teaching for the Church and its life in our world, and undertaking the same activities on behalf of the Church for the world. The idea of holy charismata, or 'gifts', has long been held to refer to special graces flowing from the love of God to humanity for its good.
