The issue of global culture has been greatly neglected. There are barriers other than that of the overemphasis upon connectivity in the discourse of global culture. Perhaps the most important of these has been and still is war across the globe, many wars of increasing intensity. The book has pivotal aspects of global culture and related themes are given sustained attention.
